COMMENTS
It was incredibly hard to choose just ten albums this year. Albums I would include if I could: Bishop Allen, The Broken String; Wilco, Sky Blue Sky; Modest Mouse, We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank; The One A.M. Radio, This Too Will Pass. Albums I haven't yet heard from 2007 that I'll probably fall in love with next year when it's too late: Spoon, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga; LCD Soundsystem, Sound of Silver; Okkervil River, The Stage Names. Although it's frustrating when there's too much good music to be able to humanly absorb in one year, it's far better to cut good album from my list rather than put bad albums on to fill up space.
