COMMENTS
There are, of course, a lot of albums I should have listened to, and didn't, and a lot of albums I did listen to and neglected to include. I like to think that the 500+ other critics taking this poll would form a pretty good sampling of what I missed. I want to reach up there and fuck up the order over and over again, but this is what made me feel the least uncomfortable sticking with, and, as it draws nearer and nearer to midnight (when all our proverbial coaches turn back into pumpkins), this is what it's going to be. 2007 did not wow me as I expected to be wowed. There were really great albums, but there was also a lot of stuff from artists I really love that just left me bored. But that is what next year is for.
