COMMENTS
Honestly, this was the year I stopped reading all but a handful of music blogs. Even though online file-sharing services made it easier than ever to start up a blog, this was completely defeated by the fact seemingly everyone was posting about the same 15-20 bands. There was some wonderfully diverse music being made in 2007, but you wouldn't know it from the way most people posted nothing but Arcade Fire/Spoon/The National/Radiohead/Band of Horses. Those bands all released boring, forgettable albums that would've sunk under the radar had they been released by anyone else, but since they were who they were, people salivated over them. It was kind of depressing, given all the promise that blogs once possessed, but hopefully 2008 will remedy things...
