10 Quick Thoughts:

1. I gotta hear that Miranda Lambert Album.

2. Justice performing with a wall of Marshall amps on stage will be forever burned into my memory. If the best tracks from † were combined with the best from Simian Mobile Disco's Attack Decay Sustain Release, the Justice Vs. Simian result would crack my top 10.

3. I have no remorse picking two songs for my top 10 singles featuring Rihanna other than "Umbrella" and two songs other than "Throw Some D's" featuring Rich Boy. It's bugging me that more songs featuring Andre 3000 aren't on my list.

4. White Williams' Smoke and Robert Wyatt's Comicopera didn't get the love they deserve.

5. Tay Zonday and Panda Bear were not (seriously) in the running.

6. Several White Rabbits members used to be in a band called Texas Chainsaw Mass Choir, and they screamed a lot.

7. Spoon might have made the list if it hadn't rained and soaked my socks the day I was going to see them perform at New York's Rockefeller Park.

8. Both Devin the Dude ("Broccoli & Cheese") and Animal Collective ("Peacebone") released songs that mention cooking broccoli. Only one utilizes the phrase "this dick is so clean."

9. I paid £5 for In Rainbows, which is definitely more than I forked out for OK Computer at Best Buy 10 years ago.
