COMMENTS
It was a year with some outstanding and excellent albums but also with a lot of half -hearted affairs ( or maybe three quarters of it), with the best examples coming from LCD, Bjork , Matthew Dear.

Rock: pretty stale , small pleasures but nothing impressive.

Hip-Hop/Rap: the mainstream has gone bad, the underground looks even murky, Sa-Ra mild disappointment doesn't help either...

Indie: Klaxons hype was too much, Bloc Party never got out of that Gang of Fourism.

Dubstep: maybe the scene has gone stale, but enough small anthems to keep me interested; second Burial album was a surprise, but not has good as the first one; Pinch album really is a grower and could well be a future classic.
